Well we're nearing the end of November and that can only mean one thing - your favorite Feral's are girding our holiday loins by singing some toxic two-steps at the Hotel Utah this Sunday 11/23/2014 with High Card Drifters and the Goat Family. Showtime is 8pm! This ought be a swell time. We hope to see you at this one.
Alternate title: bad practice good wine. This is the first video version of Ed's Wine Blog! Huzzah technology!
This week's wine blog is all about Redemption from the troubled trauma of our Halloween Wine Blog. Featuring Rabbit Ridge Allure de Robles, Rock Wall's Zin, and Tierra Secreta's Malbec. Also featuring the furrowed brow of Ed, and cameos from the angelically gravelled voice of Norman - the pretty one (guitar, vocals), an almost cameo from Cindy M. Cheese (guitar, vocals) before the iphone ran out of memory, and of course Priscilla Widebottom. Until next time drinkers!
Ed's Wine Blog is filmed on location in the Manbox in Oakland. All wines are purchased by the band FERAL and consumed during band practice. No animals were harmed in the creation of this wine blog. If you have a wine that you want tasted - EMAIL US! firstname.lastname@example.org
Ok wine blog! Norman's birthday edition. Two wine bottles for our semi centenarian: The Wanted Vinum Cellars Red Dirt Red 2012 Paso Robles GSM and Bogle Vineyards 2012 Essential Red.
So upon first opening Bogle has a lovely berries scent where as the Wanted is more of a dried cherry aroma.
Bogle was quite drinkable early on whereas the Wanted needed some time to open up. Both of them are quite lovely and since it's Norman's birthday we're drinking a lot of it.
Bogle is one of Wine Enthusiasts top three choices for under $15 which is a good deal, but that Wanted may have edged it out.
the musings, rants, and ravings of an Oakland-based americana band.
